SH0689 UV Fluorescence Sulfur Analyzer

The UV fluorescence sulfur analyzer adopts the principle of UV fluorescence method and is suitable for determining the total sulfur content in crude oil, distillate oil, liquefied petroleum gas, plastics, petrochemical products, food, etc. After being introduced into the high-temperature cracking furnace, the sample undergoes cracking oxidation reaction. At a high temperature of around 1000 ℃, the sample is completely vaporized and undergoes oxidative cracking, with sulfides quantitatively converted to sulfur dioxide. The reaction gas is carried by the carrier gas, and after passing through a membrane dryer to remove its moisture, it enters the reaction chamber. Sulfur dioxide is exposed to specific wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation, which absorbs this radiation and causes some electrons to shift to high-energy orbitals. Once electrons return to their original orbits, excess energy is released in the form of light and detected by a photomultiplier tube at a specific wavelength. The emitted fluorescence is completely specific to sulfur and proportional to the sulfur content in the original sample. After amplification by a microcurrent amplifier and computer data processing, it can be converted into an electrical signal proportional to the intensity of light. By measuring its size, the sulfur content of the corresponding sample can be calculated.
