SH6532A Salt Content Tester For Crude Oil is designed and made as per national standard of People’s Republic of China GB/T6532 Standard Test, Method for Salt Content of Crude Petroleum and Petroleum Products. It is suitable to determine total amount of halides (concentration from 0.002% to 0.02% (m/m) in the crude petroleum, reduced oil, cracked residue and fuel oil.

It can also be used to estimate seawater contamination of turbine oil and marine fuel oil. If test requirement on precision is within the range of this method, it can also be used to determine other products.

Main structure and installation

● Extraction unit: consisting of a flask and a heating part, with a flask volume of 500ml; the heating part is composed of an electric heating wire wrapped around the lower end.

● Column shaped dropper funnel: used to add hot toluene, anhydrous ethanol, acetone, etc. and perform quantitative separation.

● Condenser: It condenses the distilled gas.

● Water regulating valve: The inlet of the water regulating valve is connected to tap water, the outlet is connected to the inlet of the condenser, and the outlet of the condenser is connected to the sewer. Adjust the water inlet of the condenser through this valve.

● Temperature controlled electric furnace: used to heat the test solution that needs to be heated.

● Glass container: with a capacity of 1000ml, used for heating the test solution that needs to be heated.

● Triangle bottle: Grinding mouth triangular bottle, used to receive the solution released from the flask.

● Triangle bottle stopper: The stopper of a triangular bottle.

● 2-core aluminum plug: power plug for the heating wire of the extractor.

● Separating funnel piston: the control piston for the extraction device to discharge the solution.

● Electrical control box: the electrical part of the control instrument

● Attention: Voltage adjustment knob 1 (voltage adjustment knob 2) should be adjusted slowly when adjusting the voltage, so that the voltage rises slowly. It is not allowed to suddenly increase the voltage to prevent damage to the device.
