SH417 High Temperature High Shear Tester is in strict accordance with ASTM D5481 with multiple capillary viscometer at high temperature and high shear rate to measure the apparent viscosity of the technical requirements of the standard test method.

It is suitable for measuring the apparent viscosity of lubricating oil at high temperature and high shear rate, that is, the dynamic viscosity of lubricating oil at high temperature and high shear rate, HTHS index.

It is also suitable for measuring the dynamic viscosity of lubricating oil at high temperature and high shear rate and the high temperature and high shear characteristics of lubricating oil according to SHT 0703-2001 apparent viscosity measurement method (multiple capillary viscometer method).

Its testing principle is under the condition of 150℃ + 0.1℃ test, under the pressure of the nitrogen gas (co2), the outflow from the capillary viscometer, sample by sample flow time and pressure, capillary viscometer apparent shear rate can be obtained as part of the apparent viscosity, with various viscometer pool of calibration curve and the measured pressure corresponding to the oil viscosity.
