Silver corrosion color chart (imported from ASTM, USA), in accordance with SH/T0023 "Silver Corrosion Test Method for Jet Fuel", ASTM D3241/IP323, ASTM D1660 and other standards. Used to evaluate the corrosion tendency of jet fuel on silver components of aviation turbine engine fuel systems.
The silver corrosion color chart is replicated by full-color processing and consists of 5 typical test silver pieces representing the degree of loss of gloss surface and corrosion increase. For protection, these corrosion standard color plates are embedded in plastic sheets. Instructions for using corrosion standard color plates are provided in the packaging of each standard color plate. To avoid possible fading of the color palette, the corrosion standard color palette should be stored away from light
Color code description
● 0 means no discoloration: except for a slight loss of luster in some areas, it is almost the same as newly polished silver
● 1. Mild discoloration: light brown or silver white fading;
● 2. Moderate discoloration: Peacock screen color, such as blue or purple red, or moderate and deep beige or brown;
● 3 is mild blackening: there are black or gray spots and patches on the surface, or a uniform black deposition film;
● 4. Blacking: uniformly darkening to a depth with or without peeling phenomenon
