SD5096 Copper Corrosion Tester for Petroleum Products
The SD5096 Copper Corrosion Tester for Petroleum Products is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the equivalent ASTMD130 of the Chinese standard GB/T5096-2017 "Copper Corrosion Test Method for Petroleum Products". It is suitable for evaluating the degree of copper corrosion caused by petroleum products such as aviation gasoline, aviation turbine fuel, vehicle gasoline, tractor fuel, washing solvents, kerosene distillate fuel, and lubricating oil according to the test method specified in this standard
Copper corrosion principle
Copper corrosion refers to the degree to which petroleum products such as kerosene distillate fuels and lubricants corrode copper sheets. Immerse a polished copper sheet in a certain amount of sample and heat it to the specified temperature according to the product standard requirements for a certain period of time. At the end of the testing cycle, remove the copper sheet and compare it with a standard color plate after washing to determine the corrosion level. The commonly used test conditions for industrial lubricants are 100 ℃ (or 120 ℃) for 3 hours.

● The corrosion standard color plate is used for the inspection of copper corrosion test method for petroleum products in the United States D130-04 and China GB/T5096-91, as well as for the inspection of silver corrosion test method for jet fuel in the United States ASTM D3241 and China SH/T0023-90.
