  Product Overview

ST213A/B/C automatic compaction density tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with the technical requirements and relevant regulations of the 2020 Pharmacopoeia 0993 compaction density determination method. It is mainly suitable for measuring the compaction density of powders.

Working principle: The vibrating density tester fixes a powder measuring cylinder on a mechanical vibration device, and the vibration motor drives the mechanical vibration device to vibrate up and down. The graduated test tube containing powder vibrates rhythmically with the mechanical vibration device. As the number of vibrations increases, the powder in the measuring cylinder gradually solidifies. After the set number of vibrations is reached, the mechanical vibration device stops vibrating and reads the volume of the graduated test tube, According to the definition of density, the density of the compacted powder is determined by dividing the mass by the volume.

This instrument complies with the specifications of USP (United States Pharmacopoeia), BP (British Pharmacopoeia), and EP (European Pharmacopoeia), as well as GB/T 5162-2006/ISO3953:193 (Determination of Metal Powder Vibration Density). The instrument covers various indicators in the national standard GB/T 5162-2006/ISO3953-1993.

Selection of measuring cylinder

The powder density tester is equipped with three different specifications of measuring cylinders: 25ml, 50ml, and 100ml (see attachment). To improve the accuracy of testing, please refer to the weight (m) and loose density of the tested powder( ρ) Choose a suitable measuring cylinder.
