1, 2-propanediol is a chemical reagent, miscible with water, ethanol and a variety of organic solvents, its chemical formula is C3H8O2.
Normally for colorless viscous liquid, almost tasteless, fine smell slightly sweet.
Propylene glycol can be used as raw material for unsaturated polyester resin.
In cosmetics, toothpastes and soaps it can be used as a wetting agent in combination with glycerin or sorbitol.
It is used in hair colorants as a hygroscopic, levelling agent, antifreeze agent, cellophane, plasticizer and pharmaceutical industry.
