50% distillate temperature: indicates the content of the light fraction in diesel fuel. If the temperature is low, the fraction is light, with fast evaporation and combustion speed and easy engine start.

Too light a diesel fraction is also detrimental to combustion.
Because of the low cetane value and long combustion retardation period, the diesel fuel with too light fraction is easy to evaporate and produce detonation when fired.

90% distillate temperature: refers to the content of heavy fraction. This temperature is high, heavy fraction is large, spray atomization is poor, evaporation is slow, combustion is incomplete, thermal decomposition occurs at high temperature and carbon accumulation is generated, which makes exhaust belt black smoke, increases oil consumption, and increases mechanical wear at the same time.
