Standard and method for determination of chroma of flame retardants
Fyrol PCF is an additive flame retardant with excellent hydrolysis stability and is widely used in hard and soft polyurethane foams.
The Fyrol A-308 is its low-core version.
Flame retardant chromaticity is generally detected in accordance with ASTM D1209, SH810 automatic platinum and Cobalt chromaticity (Shandong Shengtai Instrument Co., LTD.) adopts D/0 measurement structure, integrated with all-band light source, single grating optical path spectrometric system, ETC real-time calibration and other technologies. The resolution of the instrument is up to 0.0001, the standard deviation of transmittance is less than 0.08%, and the chroma value is δ E* AB 0.015.
The platinum-cobalt chromaticity is expressed in units of Hazen, 1 unit of platinum-cobalt chromaticity per liter of solution containing 1 mg platinum in chloroplatinic acid and 2 mg cobalt chloride hexahydrate. General values range from 1 to 500. Suitable for determining the color of liquid chemical products with a transparent or slightly similar platinum or cobalt color. This color characteristic is usually brownish yellow.
The chromaticity test of flame retardants conforms to ASTM D1209
