According to ST149B automatic oxidation stability instrument, food is kept relatively stable in a short period of time under the closed condition of room temperature and under the environment of oxygen without overpressure. When the food is heated and pressurized, the blocking effect of food on oil oxidation will be weakened.
After the sample is placed in the test tank and sealed, oxygen is pumped into the test chamber and the sample is heated.
Oxygen consumption is indicated by a decrease in pressure.
The measurement continues until a turning point is reached -- a defined pressure drop.
This result is known as the induction period (IP), or the time between the beginning of the test and the turning point, and it indicates the oxidative stability of the sample under test.
This product conforms to ISO 6886:2004 "animal and vegetable oils -- determination of oxidation stability (accelerated oxidation test)". This instrument automatically records the change of oxygen pressure in the process of food oxidation. By this method, the oxidation stability of food oils can be known.
It is suitable for food containing grease, solid or liquid, including vegetable and animal tissues. It can be directly tested for food without the need to separate the grease.
