SH0630 automatic bromovalence bromine index tester adopts the principle of microcoulomb titration (electricity method).
When the sample is injected into the titrator, the unsaturated hydrocarbon of the sample will react with the bromine in the electrolyte. The bromine price and bromine index of the sample can be calculated according to Faraday's law of electrolysis by calculating the electricity consumed by electrogeneration of bromine.
The special ceramic sand core is used in the electrolysis tank to replace the previous ion exchange membrane. It is more convenient to maintain and the measurement sensitivity is improved. The result is more stable, accurate and repeatable.
The bromine price, or bromine number, is a measure of the content of unsaturated hydrocarbons in organic matter.
The number of grams of elemental bromine consumed by a sample of 100 grams is called the bromine valence, and the number of milligrams of bromine consumed by a sample of 100 grams is called the bromine index.
The higher the bromine price or bromine index is, the higher the content of unsaturated hydrocarbon in the sample is, that is, the higher the unsaturation is.
In oil production, this value is used as an important index to measure the stability of oil products.
In some chemical processes, such as long chain alkylation, it can also be used as a rough estimate of product conversion.
Scope of application: the instrument is suitable for the determination of bromine price and bromine index of petroleum chemical products such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel oil, lubricating oil and light and heavy aromatic hydrocarbons.
1. Compliance with standards: SH/T 0630, ASTM D1492, etc.
2. Measurement range: bromine price: 0.1gbr ~ 500gBr/100g oil
Bromine index: 0.1mgbr ~ 1000mgBr/100g oil
Accuracy: bromine price: ±3%±0.2gBr;
Bromine index: ±5%±0.5mgBr
4. Lower limit of detection: 0.1mgbr
