Quenching oil viscosity measurement solutions
The viscosity of quenching oil is related to its adhesion, carrying loss and cooling performance. Under the premise of ensuring the cooling performance and flash point of oil, the viscosity of oil should be as small as possible, so as to reduce the carrying loss and facilitate the cleaning of workpiece.
Kinematic viscosity is an important index of heat treatment oil, and its change reflects the aging degree of quenching oil. We use viscosity ratio.
Viscosity ratio = viscosity of service oil/viscosity of new oil
The ratio of the kinematic viscosity of the oil in service (40℃100℃) to the kinematic viscosity of the new oil is recommended not to exceed 1.3. The kinematic viscosity of domestic quenched oil is 15-40mm2 /s(40℃) for cold oil and 15-50 mm2 /s(100℃) for hot oil.
